Here’s the Kang Tao for you to earn your own pocket money. We are giving away RM200 to the champion + trophies to the winners. Our search for A Young Conversation Master in 2011 will continue during the yr end holidays. The Grand Finale date is tentatively fixed on 26 Nov 2011. Location: Precious Ones, Lorong Selamat.

We welcome more sponsors for the prizes. In return, we would announce the name of the sponsors in our competition and advertise the companies’ names in our flyers. Educational organisation can also consider sponsoring competent participants to represent the organisation to participate in the competition.

Calling Volunteer Judges and Helpers!

Currently we have a volunteer  from Toastmasters International who is interested to help out. We are looking for more volunteer judges and helpers who want to gain experience/publicity/help out from their hearts.

As a token of appreciation, we will buy plaques for the judges. TQ.

Q:What is the game all about?

 

A: The name of the game is to search for a ‘Conversation Master’ amongst the players. Invite 3 to 8 players to sit round the board game. Each player talks when it comes to his turn. The player must speak for at least 30 seconds. Choose a person to play the role of a timekeeper. At the end of 30 seconds, the timekeeper will ring the call bell once to warn the speaker that he has 10 seconds left to complete his speech. After the 10 seconds are up, the timekeeper will ring the bell twice. The player must stop talking.

Contact Centre – A centre to share the player’s contact number, address or email with the group

Correction Centre – A centre to correct grammatical errors in speech

Punishment Centre – A Centre to ‘punish’ the player- e.g. sing a song

Q: Can the children who have never played it before still participate in the tournament?

A: Yes. Our winner last year had no clue of what the game is all about when she turned up. For weak students, the parents may request for tips to prepare for the game. We provide the extra boards(those defective ones)
for participants to take home if needed.(T&C) But we don’t provide the tips from the cards.
